ACRYLIC POLYMERS..........The acrylic/methacrylic acids and esters are a versatile family of monomers whose polymers have a large and growing market.  A significant portion (about 60%) of acrylic acid is converted into esters such as ethyl, butyl, methyl and 2-ethylhexyl.  The monomers are used as co-reactants in non-acrylic polymer systems and in acrylic polymers.
